BTech admission to Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology is determined by KCET results. The admission exam is scheduled for April 18, 19, and 20, and the KCET Admit Card 2024 has already been made available. Additionally, COMEDK-UGET scores are recognized for UG course admissions for students from outside of Karnataka. On May 06, 2024, the COMEDK - UGET admit card will be made available, and on May 12, 2024, the entrance exam will take place.

An independent engineering school called Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology (Dr. AIT) was established in 1980 by the late Shri M H Jayaprakash Narayan in Bangalore. The Panchajanya Vidya Peetha Welfare Trust oversees the institute. It is one of the fifteen institutions that the World Bank funds under TEQIP. The Institute is associated with Visvesvaraya Technological University in Belgaum and has received approval from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology has agreements in place with a number of businesses to give its students experience to the business world. It offers a range of graduate and postgraduate engineering courses.

The Institute runs the variety of undergraduate, postgraduate and doctorate courses in various specializations. The duration of UG program is 4 years. Except for MCA, the duration of PG courses is 2 years while MCA program consists 3 years of duration. Ph.D has 3 years of duration. Dr Ambedkar Institute of Technology Fee Structure is varied for different courses.
