In 1949, the College of Commerce (COC) was founded in Patna. Under sections 12(f) and 12(B), the University Grants Commission, New Delhi, has legally recognised it as a postgraduate centre and constituent unit of Magadh University, Bodh Gaya (Bihar, India). The college became affiliated with Bihar University in Muzaffarpur in 1952. The college's goal is to educate everyone while giving the underprivileged and oppressed equal opportunities. The college's vision is to produce a class of dedicated, morally, intellectually, or spiritually sound citizens who will serve as a high-caliber human resource to meet the demands of the nation and society.
