NPGC, also known as National Post Graduate College, is an independent university situated in Lucknow. National PG College was founded in 1974 and has a "A" grade from the NAAC. It is affiliated with Lucknow University. NPGC is the only institution in Lucknow designated as a "College with Potential for Excellence" out of 16 universities and more than 150 degree colleges.

Through the faculties of Arts, Science, Commerce, and Computer Applications, NPGC Lucknow provides over 5500 students with a variety of undergraduate, graduate, diploma, and certificate programs. Admissions to the National PG College are granted on the basis of qualifying exam scores or entrance exam scores.
