In 1983, the Symbiosis Institute created the Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce (SCAC) in Pune. In addition to diploma and certificate courses in Liberal Arts, the college provides three-year Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Arts degrees, as well as a two-year Master of Commerce program. It also provides 'Degree with Honours' programmes for B.A. and B.Com. students. Admission to all courses is based on the merit obtained in the qualifying examination.

SCAC Pune now offers the ACCA (The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) course in addition to its graduate programmes, providing students with worldwide level certification. Graduates from the college are placed in top-tier firms such as Deloitte and Wipro, with a typical salary of INR 3.6 LPA.
