The sole central university in the state of Jharkhand is Central University of Jharkhand. Cheri-Manatu is home to the university's permanent campus, which was established in 2009. The campus, which spans 45 acres, has excellent amenities like sports facilities and medical facilities. The Central University of Jharkhand has received a "B" rating from the NAAC and recognition from the UGC.
There are nine schools and twenty-four departments in Central University of Jharkhand. Under NEP 2020, the university provides 20 integrated undergraduate and graduate courses in a variety of subjects, including education, engineering, science, and the humanities. Additionally, the Central University of Jharkhand provides 22 PhD programs and 27 postgraduate programs in a wide range of fields.
