Agra University, officially known as Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University (DBRAU), is a government university that was founded in 1927. The UGC recognises DBRAU, and the NAAC has awarded it a "B++" rating. The university's four residential campuses—Paliwal Park, Khandari Campus, Civil Lines Campus, and Chhaleshar Campus—are home to 15 residential institutes. The seven districts of the Agra Division—Agra, Aligarh, Mainpuri, Hathras, Firozabad, Etah, and Mathura—are currently served by DBRAU in terms of education. By 2033, the university wants to build new labs, work with leading international institutions, and have a faculty-to-student ratio of 1:10. Over 21 million students have enrolled at the 200 or so universities that are currently affiliated with DBRAU.
